To our brother Marty,
who passed away suddenly while doing what he loved most;
mixing a live concert.

We are profoundly saddened by this news.

WE LOVE MARTY BILECKI.

How could you not? To know Marty was to love him. Even people who'd met him for the first time walked away in a better state of mind having had contact with such a friendly and engaging individual. Marty was one of those rare people who loved his job so much that it made you happy just to be around him.

He was a big, huggable teddy bear of a guy who always seemed to be in a good mood and always had a kind word, a joke or a funny nickname for you. As physically big as he was it was his wonderful personality and kindness that were his most striking features.

He was great at what he did for a living, both live and in the recording studio, a consummate pro and Grammy Award winning engineer. A tireless professional who instilled confidence and a calming effect on even the unhappiest union crew or demanding musicians. It didn't take long for people who barely knew him to feel more mellow and confident in his expertise. When musicians and crew who knew Marty would show up at a venue and see him onstage they knew that they were in good hands. The best.

He was a wonderful son to his, understandably, very proud parents, and his value to all of us as a dear friend and coworker is beyond measure.

Marty, you are a beautiful person who will be missed much more than words can say.
