Born in Indiana, raised in Florida, Darren has appeared with international recording acts, in Television Series, Films, appeared on Broadway, written two novels and is currently producing, directing and starring in a film he's created, A 'Rock and Roll' Comedy. Last year he made an appearance in the blockbusters Hancock, starring Will Smith and Eagle Eye, starring Billy Bob Thornton. Recently, Dowler toured with, and was one of The Lettermen, the international recording sensation which was spawned in the sixties.

He's sung with The Righteous Brothers, Fifth Dimension, The Jordanaires, The Beach Boys, and many, many others. He was the original lead guitarist for The Backstreet Boys. He was inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004. Dowler the author, wrote two novels in the last couple of years, one an epic fantasy action adventure entitled The War of Angels, the other, a suspense thriller. The first was released in 2007, the other is planned for early 2010.
